City of Oakley Passport To Science Week

The City of Oakley will once again hold Science Week from April 8th through the 15th. Science related activities will be held at various locations all week. Each of the workshops is about 45 to 60 minutes. Child care is not provided and some workshops require parent or adult assistance. If you have any questions please email

The schedule for the week is:

  • Saturday, April 8th, 10am to 1pm – Marsh Creek Day at Creekside Park, 3900 Creekside Way
  • Sunday, April 9th, 10am to 1pm – Delta Science In Action at Big Break Delta Visitors’ Center patio area, 69 Big Break Rd.
  • Monday, April 10th, 3:30pm – The Reptile Kingdom at the Laurel School multi-purpose room
  • Tuesday, April 11th, 3:30pm – Water Bug Bingo at Big Break Park, 69 Big Break Rd.
  • Wednesday, April 12th, 3:30pm – Freedom Stem Workshops (video game making, bottle rockets, food science) at the Freedom High multi-purpose room, 1050 Neroly Rd.
  • Thursday, April 13th, 3:30pm – Taking Flight (kite building) at Creekside Park, 3900 Creekside Way
  • Friday, April 14th, 4:00pm – It’s A Solid, It’s Liquid, It’s Oobleck! at Civic Center Plaza, 3231 Main St.
  • Saturday, April 15th, 10am – 1pm – Delta Raptors at the Ironhouse Sanitary District, 450 Walnut Meadows Dr.
